The 2006 TEPR Awards Nominations are In; Practice Partner Sets Three-Year Record

05/16/2006 Seattle, WA — Practice Partner, a leader in the development of electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software, has been selected, once again, as a finalist for the Medical Records Institute’s (MRI) prestigious 2006 TEPR (Towards the Electronic Patient Record) Awards. For the third consecutive year, MRI named Practice Partner’s EHR product, Patient Records, a finalist in the category of EHR Systems for Small Practices as well as EHR Systems for Medium/Large Practices.

Each year MRI recognizes the top three vendors in a number of key categories via the TEPR Awards, the most prestigious awards in the EHR industry. The annual awards are determined by a panel of independent judges who review written applications as well as live presentations.

Practice Partner (formerly Physician Micro Systems, Inc or PMSI) is the only vendor in the industry to be nominated as a finalist in both categories three years running. In 2005, Patient Records was named the Best EHR System for Medium/Large Practices, and placed second in the EHR Systems for Small Practices category. In 2004, Practice Partner was named the Best EHR System for Small Practices, and was third in the EHR systems for Medium/Large Practices category.

MRI will announce the winners on Monday, May 22 during the 22nd Annual 2006 TEPR Conference in Baltimore, MD.

Conference attendees can visit Practice Partner at booth number 3109 and see a demonstration of Patient Records and the other Practice Partner solutions.

Andrew G. Ury, M.D., founder and CEO of Practice Partner, commented, “We are extremely proud to be the only EHR vendor named a finalist three consecutive years for the prestigious TEPR awards. This speaks to our consistent dedication to help physicians increase productivity and improve quality of care.”
